Milton Brown's ICWA testimony
Here is a testimony from one of ICWA's distinguished board members Milton Brown.
I am 69 years old and have been a member of ICWA since its inception. When I began training and taking classes with them, I had settled into traditional thinking about being older and had stopped acting as and thinking of myself as an athlete. Under their collective watchful eye, I have been transformed physically, mentally and spiritually. I now think of myself as being able to do anything I ever did before, act accordingly with discretion, and have adopted a more empowered and engaging outlook on life in general. Although I often leave the facility feeling exhausted, I am told that it is a sign of my willingness to continue to challenge myself and the progress I am making. I am less selfless than they are, so I accept and relish their laudatory encouragement. However, I believe that each time I choose to come back for more is an indication of my trust and faith in their consummate knowledge, skill and caring. I may never be the athlete I was, but the athlete I am now is good enough for me.
